Motion & Music Academy operates as a year-round, after-school youth arts learning program featuring drumline, step, and dance instruction. 

Philadelphia's premier summer orchestra training camp in Philadelphia provides instruction for young instrumentalists across classical, jazz, and popular music, completely free of charge to the student.

A career-connected learning program that prepares Philadelphia youth for careers in the music and live events industries through industry-aligned technical training, employer partnerships, and hands-on experience.

MIAP is a postgraduate, pre-apprenticeship program designed to continue the pathway from high school to music industry and live event production careers. Participants receive technical skill development, on-job training, mentorship, and career guidance through paid opportunities.

This program strengthens workforce readiness by providing skills refreshers, résumé and interview coaching, networking opportunities, and career support to help participants secure employment in the live events industry.

The Academy offers a paid-to-learn experience that combines hands-on instruction from industry professionals, field trips, and guest artist presentations with a curriculum rooted in the 5 C Durable Skills Map—Communication, Creativity, Commitment, Critical Thinking, and Culture—to prepare participants for the workforce.

These initiatives bring together people of all ages through campus-wide events such as the HBCU Festival, Milestone Mashup, and Voices of Hope, fostering cultural exchange, social connection, and stronger communities.

These programs welcome community members to Highmark Mann's campus each year for free, family-friendly experiences, including the Young People's Concert Series.
